About Me

Greetings

My name is Mark Lynch and I am delighted to introduce myself as a versatile graphic designer and photographer at marklynchdesigns.com

ICELAND png

Glasgow, Scotland is my hometown, currently, I am living in the beautiful coastal town of Largs in North Ayrshire. I absolutely love it here and find endless inspiration from the stunning local landscapes and my travels to far-flung destinations. My passion for photography and creating wall art using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop drives me to seek out unique and extraordinary compositions and designs, which keeps me motivated and energised. I take great pride in my work; it is always rewarding when clients and customers express their appreciation for the distinctive qualities of my designs.

When I am not behind my desk or computer, I love nothing more than to explore the Scottish Highlands. Often, you will find me hiking with my camera and tripod, climbing hills, and witnessing the wonders of nature. The breathtaking views and exhilaration of reaching the summit of any Scottish hill or mountain fuel my creativity and inspiration. If you are looking for a passionate and talented graphic designer, illustrator, or photographer who will go above and beyond to create exceptional designs, then look no further t I am eager to discuss your project needs and collaborate on a successful outcome.

My Story

Though the course was conducted entirely online initially for the first two years, I found it a valuable and enjoyable experience. I could connect with others who shared my passion for photography and design, the online format allowed me to become familiar with software such as Zoom and Teams a newfound way of communicating face-to-face with people all around the world without the need to travel. After the restrictions were lifted the college was open as normal which allowed me to meet my classmates face to face which was nice.  I found it a positive experience and decided to continue the course to the final stages of a BA degree level. Overall, I am glad I made the decision to return to college during the pandemic, as it opened up new possibilities and helped me stay motivated during a challenging time.

Despite the challenges brought on by Covid, I saw an opportunity to pursue my long-held interest in graphic design. While the pandemic was a difficult time for everyone, I saw it as an opportunity to invest in myself and my passion. I had always been drawn to the world of design, but my busy schedule prevented me from exploring it further. With time on my hands, I decided to enrol in a graphic design course, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  As someone who has been in the creative industries for a while, I saw the impact of the pandemic firsthand and knew that expanding my skill set could help me weather the storm.
